Teacher Training
We work with partnership schools across Leeds, Bradford, Keighley and Craven to train new teachers who are confident in the classroom and are sought after by future employers as accomplished practitioners.
Our schools in the Trust provide opportunities for you to excel in exciting, innovative and forward thinking environments to be the best teacher you can be. We are proud to offer teacher training and are committed to supporting trainee teachers and potentially right through your career with lots of employment opportunities at the end of the programme.
We’re a supportive, caring and inclusive community who share a collective belief that classroom-based training provides the very best start to your teaching career.
How Placements Work
This course allows you to specialise in either the 3–7 or 5–11 age range. You will train in two different schools, while also gaining insight into the wider partnership through training days led by expert tutors—many of whom are senior school leaders. This exposure to a variety of schools and teaching practices supports meaningful reflection and helps you focus on what will most effectively drive your progress toward Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and future employment.

Fees and Financial Support
This is a fee-funded teacher training programme, with tuition fees of £9,535 for both UK and non-UK applicants. Most trainees fund this through student loans, often also applying for maintenance loans to support living costs during training.
While there is a cost, the starting salary for teachers is £30,000, with clear pathways for early career progression—making the investment worthwhile.
Trainees should also consider transport between their placement schools and training venues in Bradford, Keighley and Craven, or Leeds. Many trainees car share to reduce travel costs, and our partner schools are located close to each other.
