Welcome from the Head

I feel very lucky to welcome you to Haworth Primary School, a friendly rural village school where every child is known, valued and celebrated. We are proud to be at the heart of our community, providing a nurturing environment where children grow, learn and thrive together. Strong relationships, high expectations and a genuine sense of belonging underpin everything we do, for both children and families.

At Haworth Primary School, we believe that everyone is different and everyone is equal. Diversity in all its forms is welcomed, respected and celebrated. We teach our children that differences make us stronger and more understanding, and that kindness and respect are the foundations of a happy and successful community and life.

Learning at Haworth goes far beyond the classroom. Surrounded by a beautiful rural setting, with expansive school grounds (including our own woodland area and all-weather pitch) we place a strong emphasis on outdoor learning and sport. Whether it’s exploring the natural environment, developing teamwork through physical activity, or building resilience on the sports field, children are encouraged to challenge themselves, stay active and develop confidence in both body and mind.

We are committed to growing the whole child. While academic achievement is important, we also prioritise character, wellbeing and a lifelong love of learning. Our six Haworth Hero values — Challenge, Discovery, Kindness, Resilience, Respect and Teamwork — are interwoven through everything we do. These values guide our teaching, shape behaviour and support children in becoming thoughtful, capable and compassionate individuals.

We are extremely proud of our pupils, staff and wider school community. I warmly invite you to explore our website, visit our school and discover what makes Haworth Primary School such a special place to learn and grow.
