Academy Consultation
The Governing Body are currently proposing to convert to an Academy, within a brand new Multi Academy Trust, with Oakworth and Lees Primary Schools. In the current changing landscape of education, the Governors feel that it is important to be proactive and shape our future. Oakworth and Lees Primary are both outstanding schools and have the same values as Haworth.
By working in this new multi-academy trust, we will be able to continue to build upon the successes we have seen in recent years, retain our unique ethos and further develop our school in order to move towards becoming an Outstanding School. The information in the slides below sets out the information presented at the recent parent consultation meeting. There are also responses to some of the questions raised at the meetings in the documents below.
The three schools have now received an Academy Order and the Governors are completing the consultation process with pupils, parents, staff and the wider community. The consultation period will run between Monday, 18th April 2016 and Wednesday 11th May 2016. Following consultation, the Governing Bodies will consider a report on the findings of the consultation at a meeting in May and this will be made available online to all stakeholders via our school website.
The documents below will give you a range of information regarding the proposal. Successful conversion and development of the new Trust will remain subject to a considerable amount of scrutiny, known as due diligence, on behalf of the DfE who will need to approve the proposals.
We would welcome your feedback on the proposal from our Governing Body to convert to an Academy and any comments / feedback can be sent through to the school office.
